Recently Microsoft has launched PerformancePoint Services and bundled it with Microsoft Sharepint 2010 and consolidated scorecard in it.
Microsoft has announced to merge BI services including scorecards and dashboard from Performancepoint server 2007 into Microsoft SharePoint 2010, in other words you can say –
Microsoft has renamed it with performance point services and consolidated with sharepoint 2010
Microsoft has decided to rebrand this product as Performance Point Services they are available with Microsoft SharePoint 2010 now. And any user already using Performancepoint server 2007 will have to discard it anyhow because Microsoft has discontinued it.
Microsoft has announced to provide Business intelligence using Microsoft SharePoint 2010 at a very low price for their customers. SharePoint 2010 is widely adopted technology in the world today- Microsoft has launched it with PerformancePoint Services for their customer to take full advantage of BI.
Microsoft BI Offering has other tools to design dashboard and users can design very strong bi dashboard using those tools or user can use these technologies to give a better BI mechanism for their users.
